The BPEO (Box Protection for External Optical fibre) Evolution is the latest generation of fibre splice closure from 3M™ and is used for the protection of fibre splices in distribution and Fibre To The Home/Business (FTTH/B) applications.
Available with 2 standard end face configurations to suit network requirements the BPEO size 1.5 incorporates a 12 slot fibre management system and a tube storage space for mid span access on loose tube fibre cables. The fibre management system provides the flexibility required in today’s fibre deployments and can accommodate both fusion and mechanical splices as well as other passive components such as splitters.
The BPEO range also utilises the fully mechanical cable entries (ECAM’s) that can be prepared onto the cable away from the closure allowing for greater flexibility and do not require the use of heat, gel or compounds to complete a reliable cable seal.
