The GE Druck PM 620 IS Series Intrinsically Safe Interchangeable Pressure Modules is the latest development in digital output sensor technology incorporating a number of key innovations - allow pressure re-ranging of compatible equipment. A simple screw fit makes both the pressure and electrical connections without the need for tools, sealing tape, cables or plugs and digital characterization allows interchangeability without set-up or calibration. The GE Druck PM620-IS modules can be changed in a few seconds to re-range an instrument at a fraction of the cost of a new one. The GE Druck PM-620IS pressure modules can be used in conjunction with the relevant pneumatic or hydraulic pressure station and
the Druck DPI 620 multifunction calibrator - form an integrated pressure calibrator for test and calibration of pressure instruments including transmitters, transducers, switches, gauges, indicators and recorders. Alternatively, the GE Druck PM/620 IS modules can be combined with the pressure station by a module carrier, which adds a dual channel pressure measurement capability that can be re-ranged in seconds.
Pressure ranges are available from 25 mbar - 1000 bar (10 inH2O - 15000 psi) with a total measurement uncertainty, including operation over 0 - 50°C (32 - 122°F) for one year. The GE Druck PM620 IS' configuration and multi-function calibration in hazardous areas. The ATEX and IECEx certification allows the instrument to be employed globally in Zone 0 areas. The approval now further extends the range of potential applications of the powerful communicator/calibrator, especially in the oil and gas and process sectors.
